Launching new versions of AVImark and ImproMed practice management software platforms including AXIS-Q Lens
New versions help practitioners provide quality care while increasing profitability.
New versions of our AVImark and ImproMed software platforms are now available to veterinary practices. Each version is loaded with updates designed to offer veterinary professionals new opportunities to improve the quality of care they deliver while enhancing the efficiency and profitability of their practices.
The new versions of AVImark and ImproMed, which are based on the input of veterinary professionals, enhance the visibility of patient diagnostic information and improve the user experience and platform functionality.
“AVImark and ImproMed’s latest versions embody our commitment to protect the health of animals while helping veterinary practices achieve exponential growth through technology,” said Chris Dollar, Global President. “By working with our users to learn more about their needs, we are able to combine software innovation with in-practice functionality. As a result, our users can continue to rely on us as a trusted partner in a shared mission to create stronger veterinary businesses and improve health outcomes for the benefits of animals and their owners.”
The new versions of AVImark and ImproMed include a new addition to the Axis-Q suite of products, AXIS-Q™ LENS™, a cloud-based solution that provides veterinarians the diagnostic history of a particular patient. Axis-Q LENS, which is free to AVImark and ImproMed clients with support, makes it easier to identify outliers in a patient’s diagnostic test results and improve the level of care provided. Designed as an open system, Axis-Q LENS gathers trended diagnostics results from multiple point-of-care instruments or reference laboratories that are connected through our practice management software systems. This open architecture gives practices the freedom to choose the diagnostic instruments and reference laboratory that’s right for them, and the ability to change equipment without losing their patients’ diagnostic histories.
“The new AXIS-Q LENS is an excellent tool to help doctors see trending test results for patients,” said Roger Riel, Practice Manager of Companion Pet Clinic in Klamath Falls, Oregon. “It gives you quick results and allows you to compare previous test values with current ones, even when the test results were imported in from an outside lab. You are even able to filter the results down to just the abnormal values or pick and choose the tests you want to compare, making it easy to see only those specific values you want to focus on. This will save us time and help us with diagnosing our patients even faster.”
The new versions of AVImark and ImproMed also contain dozens of improvements to existing features dedicated to helping veterinary professionals run efficient and profitable practices, including accounts receivable, appointment scheduling, estimates and invoices, medical records, treatment and wellness plans, credit card handling, and inventory management, among a host of others.
“The latest version of AVImark makes it faster than ever to optimize our practice performance across several areas of the technology, including wellness plans, the appointment calendar, and medical history,” said Mary Weeks, General Manager of Creekside Pet Care Center in Keller, Texas, a practice that has been beta testing the new version of AVImark. “We have been able to work much more efficiently so we can spend more time taking care of our patients.”
